Salon Manager
My career began in high-end designer jewelry where I formed close relationships with many clients. I loved hearing about their engagements, weddings, anniversaries and more.  I realized I had a passion for Bridal and have been a bridal consultant ever since.

My experiences include working for major designers on a team as well as running a boutique solo, which was very rewarding.  I’ve learned the business inside and out and I love every aspect of it from personalized service to setting up fashion shows.  But as much as I enjoyed being in charge I realized I wanted to be able to dedicate myself more completely to personalized service which is why I am thrilled to have joined Elizabeth Johns!

It’s everything a bridal salon should be: beautiful, spacious, well lit and most importantly, there’s a team of experts dedicating their services to you. As your Bridal stylist I’ll always go the extra mile for you. (Maybe even 2 miles!)

I have been in the fashion industry for over a decade.  I started by styling and helping friends with their wardrobes, and after graduating from Centenary college, went on to a career in retail, working at Charles David and Anthropology, among others.

I have always loved weddings – the planning, the dresses, and all the little details.  I think there is something truly special about finding “the dress” and making a woman’s dream come to fruition.  I’m so excited to be at Elizabeth Johns where the woman will enjoy the ultimate bridal experience.

In my spare time, I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and practice yoga regularly.  You can also find my hanging out with my two dogs, Leeo, a chocolate Labrador Retriever, and Henry, a Golden Retriever.

  • Fashion Icon:  Nicole Richie and Grace Kelly, both inspirations and timeless.

I’ve done so many different things in my career – from advertising to fashion, mom to (most recently) manager of another high-end bridal salon. My family aside, my real love is anything to do with styling and people. (My daughters tell me I can dress all ages.)

What’s amazing about Elizabeth Johns, is how many fabulous choices there are – in all categories.  I’m here to make sure you don’t get overwhelmed. I’m a good listener and advisor – together we can make your experience here fun and exciting.

I’ve been working in the bridal field for a few years now and I absolutely love it! I previously worked for Lancome and Estee Lauder as a makeup and skincare consultant. But bridal has definitely become my passion.  There’s something really special about helping someone find her wedding gown. I feel honored to be there the moment she puts on that dream dress that makes her cry. (I’ve been known to get a little emotional myself.)

Ever since I can remember, I’ve found myself walking into stores, even when I’m not working, and helping girls pick out clothes. It comes naturally and i really enjoy it.  I am very excited to be part of the Elizabeth Johns team. Can’t wait to help make each bridal party look amazing!

When I’m not at work I love spending time with my two dogs, my Boxer Moe and my Pit bull Joanie.

Bridal Consultant
For the past 10 years, I’ve been working with brides.  For two years it was engagement rings.  And for eight years, it’s been as a consultant at a high-end bridal salon outfitting brides and their bridal parties.  I love it. I feel so lucky to play a part.

Maybe that comes from the fact that for the past 15 years I have sung professionally on stages across the country. This has guided me towards the world of fashion.  Whether in costume on stage or most recently as a new bride myself, (as of November of last year!) I love the sense of art and individuality fashion creates.

  • Favorite accessory: Jackets, coats, and scarves – It’s always nice to have something to wrap up in! Or any Vintage Jewelry!!!! Please!!!  Hats & headpieces!  Oh shoes too!!  How does one choose??

I love helping people look and feel beautiful!  Proper fit is a must and the right style can enhance or refine your look.  I’ll work with you one-on-one, shopping with you to find stylish outfits for your shower, rehearsal dinner, honeymoon and beyond – always keeping your budget in mind.  We’ll chat, I’ll learn your fashion goals, taste and lifestyle so we find the perfect outfits for  your event.

I also love to do closet analysis, where we comb through your closet, making sure that every piece suits your body and personality.   I’ll put pieces together in a different way to create beautiful new looks with what you already own, I may suggest you retire some items, and then we’ll shop to cover any gaps in your wardrobe.  Sometimes, one piece is all it takes to pull everything together so you have a complete wardrobe.  Many brides love this service and treat their bridesmaids to a closet analysis as a thank you gift.  Another option is to do a group session where we talk about body types, colors and the latest styles. I promise you and your friends a fun learning experience.

Custom Accessories Specialist
As a fashion designer with more than 30 years experience, I love working with our brides to design and create accessories to optimize each woman’s bridal look.

I studied fashion design in my home country of Equador, and after coming to the United States, worked with designers like Antony Lavayen, who designed for Vogue, Peggy Page Atelier, and HOMA Bridal Company.

A veil, headpiece, or other accessories are very important to enhance the beauty and elegance of a bridal gown, and to make the bride feel her most lovely.  Here at Elizabeth Johns, we design jackets, boleros, and capes for brides who want more coverage for their ceremony, as well as every type of custom veil and headpiece imaginable.

Salon Manager, Ardmore
My career started in luxury apparel where I was a Store Manager, Training Manager, and District Manager.  Prior to Elizabeth Johns I was a Salon Manager for the top Priscilla of Boston Salon where I fell in love with bridal.  To this day I still get goose bumps on my arms when a bride finds her gown and shed a tear or two with her.  It never goes away.

I joined Elizabeth Johns for the philosophy of The Experience the bride will have with us.  Searching for your wedding gown should be a memorable moment.  Having a daughter I can especially relate to this.  I want all my brides leaving our salon if they purchased with us or not having the best experience in their mind.  I truly feel this is what will set us apart from the rest as our owner Melinda believes.

  • Favorite fashion icon: Coco Chanel- chic elegance.

After studying the business of fashion, I started working in high end apparel boutiques. After a few years, I decided to try something different and became an assistant buyer for a women’s clothing company. Over some time, I realized I truly missed working directly with customers. I knew I had to follow my passion. 4 years ago, I made the transition into the world of bridal, and it was the best career decision I’ve ever made. I had finally found where I belong. Here at Elizabeth Johns, I am completely dedicated to each and every one of my brides. There is nothing more fulfilling than making a bride’s dreams come to life by creating that perfect look for her wedding day. After all, it is the most important day of her life, and she deserves nothing but the best!

Being a bridal consultant for over four years has been very fulfilling. I’ve loved my role in helping my brides find their dream gown.

It was when I first walked into a bridal salon to select a wedding gown of my very own that I realized how much I wanted to be a part of this amazing process. It was such a memorable part of my wedding preparations; and now, I can’t see myself doing anything else. I loved planning my wedding. Every detail counted, and the joy of anticipating your wedding day is unlike any other feeling.

Prior to being a bridal consultant, I was a florist for four years and have always enjoyed putting my creativity and eye for design to work. As a bridal consultant, I am passionate about making your experience a memorable one. Learning about your unique sense of style and your vision is my priority, and I am committed to finding the gown that is an impeccable fit.

When I’m not at work, I’m running around after my precious baby boy.

Every girl dreams of her wedding day. I dream about dressing her. I was born to shop and love to counsel women on how to dress for that special occasion, be it formal or fun.

My career started with retail sales while working my way through college. Whether selling someone their first home, which I did for eight years on the Main Line, or their first prom gown, I love having that special connection that comes from helping someone’s vision materialize.

I’ve been dressing girls since my own beautiful daughters arrived in my life 28 years ago. It is my passion and now a very fulfilling part of my life here at Elizabeth Johns.

Being a bridesmaid and evening consultant at Elizabeth Johns is a new world to me, but feels like home! Having been in retail for 14 years in positions that ranged from clothes to shoes and jewelry to cosmetics, means I’ve seen it all. The basis of what I’ve learned is that women want to look and feel fabulous! With the exquisite variety of dresses and accessories Elizabeth Johns has, combined with my passion and experience, gives the clients and myself the opportunity to have fun finding the perfect gown for their special occasion.

Finding a place in my career where I see only growth and learning opportunity, gives me a feeling of satisfaction.

I feel so honored to be a part of a growing team that focuses on what customer service is about; giving the client a memorable experience that has them talking about us after they’ve walked out our doors and bringing them back to us for all their bridal and evening gown needs.

There is nothing more fulfilling than finding what you love to do and being able to do it every day. Elizabeth Johns gives me that, and I couldn’t be happier.

Alterations Specialist
I started my career at a young age, first attending fashion and design school in Europe; focusing on pattern making and sewing. Before immigrating to the United States over 40 years ago, I worked with many well-known European celebrities, helping them with their everyday tailoring needs.

I have focused on high-end bridal now for over 30 plus years, and I truly love it.  I worked for Suky Rosan and Priscilla of Boston prior to joining Elizabeth Johns. I can make just about any dress fit like a dream; I will make the bride wear the dress not the dress wear the bride! From their first fitting to the day of their wedding, I will be there every step of the way to assure everything goes on without a hitch.
