The Beginning of Something Beautiful

In the winter of 2011, Melinda Ladyzinski went shopping for wedding gowns with her newly engaged daughter, Haley. During their weeks of searching for the perfect gown, never once did they have the special time they both had dreamed about.

“Rarely did anyone offer to take our heavy coats. Even in higher end salons, sample gowns were not always in clean condition, with broken zippers and torn beading. The dressing rooms were often cramped and some of the salespeople were too aggressive. No refreshments were served and no consideration went into making guests feel comfortable and included.”

It was then the idea of a new bridal and evening salon was born, where the customer experience would come above all else. Melinda named her new salon after her three children, Haley Elizabeth, Samuel John, and Maxwell John.

“Elizabeth Johns has garnered huge success in such a short time because we are not focused on sales, but on making sure every customer will walk out our doors and refer us to their friends. Shopping at Elizabeth Johns should be memorable — in a good way. It should be personal. And literally, the beginning of something beautiful.”

Previously owner of the New York real estate company Corcoran Group Brooklyn, Melinda has combined her business expertise and customer service knowledge to create two couture bridal and special occasion salons in Morristown, NJ, and Ardmore, PA.
